Operations Manager - Stone / Marble Fabrication

Job Summary
Select, train, and schedule employees while developing operations systems for product handling, storage, inventory management, and shipping. Enforce policies and procedures for receiving product, equipment utilization, and safety standards to maintain a healthy work environment. Analyze inventory to ensure effective utilization, reduce subcontractor expenses, and meet labor budget expectations. Conduct quality inspections on completed work and serve as the primary contact for customer issues regarding equipment quality or on-site accidents. Safeguard company property against theft or damage and track employee skills to achieve maximum productivity. Manage fabrication production with technical knowledge of natural stone and quartz, utilizing CNC saws, routers, and hand tools. Report on key production metrics and collaborate with management to implement organizational growth strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical background working with natural stone and quartz fabrication
- Experience and familiarity with blueprints, sketches, models, or project descriptions
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience with a minimum of 5 direct reports
- Knowledge of fabrication production management
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Experience with CNC Saw & Routers and hand power saw, grinders and polishers
- Proficient in MS Office, Alpha Cam and Auto CAD
- Good active learning, time management, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and handle heavy material
- Ability to speak fluent English, read, understand, and follow both verbal and written instructions
- Strong attention to measurements and details
- Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- May be required to work on an occasional weekend(s)
