Job Summary
Lead high-level operational, technical, and business development management for the SEA+P Roads & Highways sub-sector by outlining, monitoring, and evaluating strategic plans. Recruit, develop, and lead staff while managing annual business plans to drive sector improvements. Provide professional guidance to the Leadership team on service delivery, oversee project governance to resolve issues, and ensure optimal commercial management of revenue and expense budgets. Mitigate sector, WHS, and project risks while participating in Project Review Boards to maintain scope, budget, and quality standards. Collaborate with Regional Directors to mobilize resources, champion employee development, and identify new business opportunities within the sector.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in operational, technical and business development management of the SEA+P Roads & Highways sub-sector
- Ability to outline, monitor, evaluate and recommend strategic plans for a sub-sector
- Experience recruiting, developing, leading and managing staff and annual business plans
- Ability to provide professional opinions, guidance and support to a Leadership team
- Experience in preparing relevant business reporting
- Experience in oversight and governance of projects to resolve issues and ensure high quality
- Experience in commercial management of a sub-sector
- Experience in managing and mitigating sector, WHS, project and associated opportunity risks
- Experience undertaking Project Director level roles or sitting on Project Review Boards
- Experience in leadership ensuring optimal business and project performance, resourcing, mobilization, engagement/retention and professional development
- Experience in developing and recruiting key talent critical to business development
- Experience in succession planning and career development strategies
- Experience in engaging with Regional Directors to enable deployment of resources
- Experience in championing employee development opportunities, succession planning, training and mentoring
- Experience in promoting diversity and inclusion
- Experience in championing active participation and promotion of resourcing activities
- Experience in leading actions defined in a Strategic Plan and Business Plan
- Experience in reviewing sector performance and developing improvement initiatives
- Experience in negotiating major projects within broad policy guidelines
- Experience in identifying and establishing new business within a sector
- Experience in delivering nation-building infrastructure projects
- Experience in resolving complex challenges across major infrastructure and energy projects
- Experience in delivering projects in remote and challenging environments
- Experience in delivering sustainable solutions for clients and partners
