Job Summary
Oversee the smooth running of the depot to achieve outstanding customer service while driving improvements in cost, health & safety, security, productivity, and transport. Manage P&L through effective planning and reporting, alongside recruitment, development, and retention of staff ensuring full compliance with employee relations processes. Improve overall operational support by implementing new and innovative ways of working and analyzing data to identify and implement changes. Cover any five shifts including weekends as depots operate 365 days a year. Requires a full UK driving licence and extensive experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution industries.
Required Qualifications
- extensive experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution industries
- ability to run a fast paced operation, managing and motivating high performing operational teams
- experience of monitoring performance, with the ability to analyse data in order to identify improvements and successfully implement change
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence strategy
- Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability
- A full UK driving licence
- required to cover any 5 shifts
- some weekend working
