Job Summary
Operations Manager responsible for overseeing Ready-Mix concrete production to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality. Manages staff, balances sales and output, maintains regulatory compliance (OSHA), and provides performance metrics and reporting. Oversees budgeting, inventory control, permits/inspections, equipment maintenance, safety meetings, and process improvement across RMX plants and sites, including monitoring production targets, developing inspection systems, and coordinating with dispatch and drivers. Requires Class A CDL endorsements preferred, strong technical and analytical skills, experience with batch operations, Excel proficiency, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL with required endorsements preferred
- Education: High School Diploma Preferred
- ACI or other coursework in concrete and/or batch plant operation preferred
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, and methods, dispatching drivers, and delegating duties to others
- Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Accurate Record keeping skills is a must
- Experience working with Microsoft Office - specifically Excel, Batch System software experience preferred
- Must be able to handle stressful situations and ability to prioritize based on the business needs
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
