Operations Manager Raw Meat Processing Weekends

Job Summary
Lead all raw meat production operations within a USDA-regulated facility, overseeing cut, grind, blend, stuffing, and raw-material handling across shifts; ensure USDA-FSIS compliance, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety programs while driving safety, yield, throughput, and labor efficiency; develop high-performing teams and collaborate with QA, maintenance, packaging, and supply chain; apply Lean tools (5S, SMED, Kaizen) and lead continuous improvement initiatives; schedule Thursday–Sunday shifts (6:00 AM–6:00 PM).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Meat Science, Animal Science, Food Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5 years of raw meat or protein processing experience in a USDA-regulated facility (strongly preferred)
- prior leadership experience managing production teams
- Strong knowledge of USDA‐FSIS regulations, HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and Listeria control programs
- Experience in raw meat cutting, grinding, batching, blending, and raw-material handling
- ERP/MES systems experience
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-risk environment
