Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in leading operational excellence of the Restaurant and upholding Raising Cane’s standards and culture in all areas of Restaurant operations. Key duties include acting as manager on duty, opening/closing the restaurant, managing cash handling, enforcing policies, conducting shift management meetings, utilizing forms/logs to support shift execution and corrective action, deploying crewmembers, delivering exemplary customer service, recognizing and rewarding staff, authorizing manager-level actions (discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides), maintaining cleanliness and overall facility readiness, and performing additional duties as assigned. Essential functions involve lifting up to 50 lbs, navigating stairs, taking orders, processing payments, working safely around hot cooking equipment, ensuring food safety, occasional travel for work-related purposes, and maintaining a clean, safe restaurant. Requires strong communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of Restaurant or retail management experience
- Possess a valid, state-issued driver's license
- Must complete all required Raising Cane’s company training programs
- Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends and travel as needed for work-related functions and training
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
- Self-driven, flexible, and energetic with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Able to recognize and analyze problems, set goals, create and convert plans into action to solve problems
- Proficient in a variety of technology systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly
