Job Summary
Operations Manager position at a fresh produce company based in Florida. Primary duties include hands-on supervision and training of warehouse/production personnel, directing dispatch and scheduling of customer shipments, inventory coordination, inter-warehouse transfers, ensuring proper reception and inspection of merchandise, maintaining regulatory safety/compliance, and contributing to profit planning and cost controls. Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience, 2+ years of operations experience, HACCP/GMP knowledge, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Industry Experience
- 2+ years of Operations Experience
- Fresh Produce/CPG Experience
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Leadership qualities (positively affect/influence others/delegate responsibility)
- Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization, and decision-making
- Prepared to complete relevant training and certification provided or requested by the General manager
- Efficient working knowledge of Food Plant Quality, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ability to follow complex verbal and written instruction and be able to work independently to evaluate and resolve Quality related problems and identify and communicate short-term remedial actions
- Embodies a high level of problem-solving skills
