Job Summary
Oversee daily production and warehouse operations within a metals servicing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality processing of metal products. Lead all day-to-day activities including distribution, fabrication, and inventory management while maintaining strict adherence to OSHA standards and industry regulations. Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, increase throughput, and optimize cost efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators, develop standardized operating procedures, and lead teams through change in a fast-paced, customer-driven industry. Partner with Sales, Estimating, and Supply Chain teams to align operational capabilities with customer needs and support customer visits and audits.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of operations or production management experience
- Strong background in process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and build operational discipline
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
Desired Qualifications
- ideally in metals servicing, manufacturing, or industrial processing
- proven success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks
- Solid understanding of metal processing equipment
