Job Summary
Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules while developing operational policies to optimize productivity and quality. Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors and line workers, monitor key performance indicators, and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with supply chain and quality control to ensure seamless operations and identify continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations management within the West Michigan region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and their application in manufacturing operations
- Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for production planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization
- Demonstrated ability to lead and implement digital transformation initiatives within a manufacturing environment (e.g., IoT, automation, data analytics)
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) with a proven track record of successful project delivery
