Job Summary
Oversee ramp supervisors, GSE maintenance, and aircraft maintenance personnel while taking full accountability for safety, resource allocation, operational standards, and financial performance. Manage routine liaison with internal and external customers, produce reports, and lead the station equipment planning cycle. Ensure compliance with all operational and administrative requirements, suggest improvements to working practices regarding safety and security, and report significant deficiencies in products or documents. Maintain a valid US driver's license, possess excellent knowledge of cargo/ramp GSE, and work with a multinational workforce across variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- two to five years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior Ramp experience
- Prior management, supervisory or lead experience in the Aviation industry
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess and maintain a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to remain calm under pressure
- Must excel in time management skills and require minimal supervision
- Able to work with a multinational work force, and to adjust to the local conditions of the station
- Excellent knowledge of cargo/ramp GSE
- A working knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement
- Aptitude to develop the supervisory team, provide succession planning, and re-engineer business processes as demanded by changes in the business
- Able to support other stations as required and ensure own station responsibilities are covered when on leave
- A proven track record in managing a business unit
- Must be comfortable frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70lbs
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Prior management, supervisory or lead experience in the Aviation industry preferred
