Job Summary
Lead day-to-day CNC machining operations in a high-volume machine shop, manage supervisors and hourly staff, drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity, monitor production metrics, collaborate with engineering/maintenance/quality, develop standard work and scheduling discipline, support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, cycle time, throughput, and labor efficiency, ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, and customer requirements, and develop talent with a culture of ownership and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience in a CNC machining or machine shop environment
- Strong understanding of machining operations, tooling, fixtures, production flow, quality requirements, and manufacturing processes
- Experience leading supervisors, leads, machinists, operators, or hourly production teams
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, production schedules, and quality documentation
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S, root cause analysis, or similar manufacturing improvement methods preferred
