Job Summary

Lead and develop supervisors, machinists, and support staff through coaching, mentorship, and clear performance expectations. Oversee daily machining operations, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives like Lean, 5S, and Kaizen events. Manage cross-functional projects including new product introductions, machine upgrades, and capacity improvements while coordinating with Engineering, Quality, and Materials. Ensure production schedules and customer delivery requirements are met while maintaining safety, quality, and cost targets. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering and 7-10 years of machining experience with 3-5 years in leadership. Candidates must possess strong CNC knowledge, familiarity with ISO or AS9100 standards, and proficiency in ERP/MRP systems. The position is open to U.S. persons only due to ITAR restrictions. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in machining operations
  • At least 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining
  • Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 standards
  • Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Proven project management experience
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Power-Point)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to foster relationships amongst teams and departments
  • Knowledge of general industry OSHA regulations and environmental protection practices and employment law
  • Ability to identify and evaluate complex, ambiguous business problems or technical issues and provide well thought out solutions

Desired Qualifications

  • Six Sigma certification
  • Experience working in the Aerospace, Medical or other highly regulated industry
  • AS9100, 13485 and NADCAP experience
  • Knowledge of ERP software (Epicor)
  • Lean/Sigma certifications
