Job Summary
Lead all aspects of LAX Engineering operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of routine and complex aircraft maintenance across a 24/7 environment. Manage maintenance and support teams, overseeing resource allocation, production targets, and On Time Performance while handling major operational disruptions. Drive continuous improvement and safety outcomes by enforcing CASA and FAA regulations, managing contractor performance, and planning workforce delivery. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support reliable network operations. This full-time permanent shift-work position supports a 7-day operation in LAX with an annual salary range of USD $165,000–$185,000 plus bonus. Sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in all aspects of aircraft engineering
- Demonstrable experience managing an aircraft engineering similar operational environment
- Experience managing operational cost performance for applicable shifts
- Experience including the efficient and effective allocation of overtime and material usage
- Exceptional people management skills
- Ability to empower, manage and hold delegates accountable
- Strong operational decision-making capabilities
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Ability to deliver operational objectives under pressure
- Ability to deliver operational objectives without compromising Qantas values
- Ability to drive a diverse, inclusive and collaborative culture
