Job Summary
Oversee daily last-mile operations for contract carriers by maintaining schedules, monitoring routes and reports, and utilizing software to build efficient delivery paths. Manage staff through hiring, training, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and laws. Resolve dispatch issues throughout the day, restructure routes to improve efficiencies, and allocate additional resources as needed. Take photos for every job and foster positive relationships with carriers and helpers. Requires 5 years of logistics experience, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and availability for varied shifts including holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Availability to travel between branches and regions occasionally
- Bilingual English/Spanish (read, write, and speak both languages)
- Strong business acumen with the willingness to act in partnership with management teams
