Job Summary
Manage Linehaul, Express, and Local PUD operations by overseeing equipment requirements, scheduling with supervisors, and ensuring contractual transport needs are met. Lead a team while adhering to HSEQ regulations, safety leadership, and performance targets. Work directly with drivers and the workshop to maintain fleet standards, minimize downtime, and manage driver fatigue through rostered after-hours coverage. Communicate production impacts and forecast future requirements to clients, while reviewing operational KPIs to drive cost efficiency and waste elimination.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years industry experience in similar managerial role
- Strong knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a dynamic environment
Desired Qualifications
- Current MC license preferable
- Certificate IV Training and Assessor (desirable)
