Job Summary
Lead the team of operators in all aspects of people management, including hiring, performance management, training, and terminations. Monitor staff work, coach improvements, and ensure all SOPs, DOT, and OSHA requirements are met. Communicate weekly with account managers regarding operations, conduct site visits, and manage maintenance of trucks and equipment. Create and manage the operational budget, develop monthly reports, and implement continuous performance improvements. Requires a Texas Class A Wastewater license or ability to obtain one within six months, plus a BA/BS in a related field and five to seven years of water/wastewater experience. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Texas Class A Wastewater license or ability to obtain one in 6 months
- BA/BS in related field
- 5-7 years water/wastewater experience
- Two years previous supervisory experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Water/Wastewater Operator's License specific to state and site specific requirements
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet
- Ability to work with basic office equipment & phone systems
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations
- Working knowledge of Utility SOPs
- Ability to proficiently complete all regulatory documentation, reports and correspondence
- Must be able to frequently lift 50-60 pounds
- Must be able to load, unload & move large equipment/tools
- Must be able to access confined spaces
- Must be able to continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders
- Must be able to complete background screening
- Must be able to pass drug testing
- Must be able to pass driving record review
