Job Summary
Lead warehouse operations in WA for Metcash Food, driving safety, continuous improvement, and cost-efficient performance. Oversee a high-volume, fast-paced operation, manage resource planning and 100+ employees, champion WHS, COR, and HACCP compliance, and collaborate on budgeting and business planning. Implement WMS/TMS-driven processes, monitor financial and operational performance, and develop a high-performing team focused on engagement and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in logistics operations within a high-volume, fast-paced environment (5+ years preferred)
- Proven ability to lead large teams, including managing and developing teams of 100+ employees
- Strong track record in health and safety leadership, ensuring compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture
- Hands-on experience with automated systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); Transport Management Systems (TMS) knowledge is highly desirable
- Commercial acumen with demonstrated budget and P&L accountability, driving cost efficiency and operational performance
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire cultural change while delivering operational excellence
