Job Summary
Operations Manager responsible for supervising and training branch personnel to ensure safe, professional and efficient service in a branch with strong revenue. The role leads personnel management, ensures DOT compliance and safety programs, oversees route planning and audits, maintains equipment and paperwork, and contributes to development and execution of an operation profit plan including revenue retention, cost management, and growth objectives. Key duties include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining personnel; enforcing wage/hour guidelines; maintaining asset protection and regulatory compliance; and fostering professional employer relations toward a positive corporate image. Strong leadership, clear communication, and adherence to company policies and safety standards are essential.
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS Degree desired or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years experience in waste industry desired
- Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Commercial Driver's License knowledge, skills and abilities
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear and climb
- Work in office environment 80% of the time
- Some travel required
