Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for fulfilling our mission to create the most enjoyable shopping experience for Guests and may perform duties of Freight Coordinator and Visual Merchandiser as needed. Responsibilities include managing promotions and signage, completing pulls and markdowns, handling layaway and returns procedures, answering phones, monitoring reservations and guest follow-up, leading onboarding and interviews for new teammates, conducting inventory reviews, maintaining POS knowledge, enforcing payment and loss-prevention policies, receiving freight and store transfers, preparing shipping labels, handling recalls and RTVs, organizing supplies and fixtures, maintaining a neat work environment, addressing maintenance issues, and communicating policy violations to leadership. The role emphasizes leadership, guest service, merchandising, visual standards, and cross-functional collaboration across operations, sales generation, and visual merchandising with a focus on high-quality customer experience and adherence to Buckle’s policies.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
