Job Summary
Lead, educate, and develop front-line supervisors, drivers, and freight handlers while maintaining staffing levels for dock, linehaul, and city operations. Prepare and implement action plans to ensure productivity goals are met, and manage safety, security, and loss prevention procedures per OSHA and DOT guidelines. Ensure clean facility conditions, enforce quality freight handling, and interpret Service Center Work Instructions. Interpret and implement company policies, ensure timely dispatching of LTL loads, and handle valuable customer freight under direct supervision. - Must have computer skills
- proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of the City, and surrounding areas
Desired Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules, and common LTL best practices
- Knowledge of all aspects of ensuring quality freight handling techniques
- Operations management experience in the LTL industry
