Operations Manager - Food & Beverage at The Blackwell Inn & Pfahl Conference Center (The Ohio State University) leads daily dining and banquet operations across full-service restaurant, lounge, student meal program, in-room dining, and events; actively on the floor directing service, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction while upholding brand standards and financial performance. Partners with culinary leadership on menu development and service execution; recruits, trains, schedules, and develops staff; supports payroll, performance management, and team engagement; collaborates on marketing/promotion to grow revenue; monitors labor and expenses and contributes to achieving financial goals; ensures compliance with state, federal, and operational requirements and adapts to a 24/7 hospitality environment. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 3 years of relevant experience with strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills; preferred qualifications include 4+ years of relevant experience and an associate degree in hospitality or related field.
