Job Summary
Operations Manager responsible for all aspects of store operations to deliver an exceptional shopping experience while maximizing profitability. Key duties include analyzing profit and loss statements, managing inventory and cycle counts via POS systems, supervising HR and loss prevention, supervising cash handling, coordinating facility safety, ensuring brand and operating standards, and maintaining store presentation. Focus areas include customer service excellence, scheduling coverage during peak periods, merchandising and displays, budgeting, and adherence to COP/SOPs. Requires 3-5 years of retail management experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and ability to recruit, train, and develop staff; physically able to meet job requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years retail management experience
- proven ability to direct operations and manage P&L
- ability to read and review profit and loss statements
- proficiency with computer systems and POS to manage inventory and cycle counts
- HR coordination and handling loss prevention issues
- supervise cash handling practices and communicate with corporate finance
- ensure adherence to brand and operating standards; maintain store presentation
- strong customer service focus; create friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient environment
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- ability to recruit, hire, and train associates; manage staff scheduling
- ability to manage budgeting and controllable expenses; drive profitability
- ability to open/close the store; adapt to high-volume environment
- physical capability to perform required lifting and movement as described
- compliance with COP/SOPs and safety standards (OSHA)
- experience with merchandising resets and displays
