Job Summary
Manage warehouse staff by recruiting hourly employees, planning job assignments, and coaching for department performance. Coordinate cross-departmental activities to ensure operational efficiency while overseeing cost control measures to strengthen gross profit. Maintain equipment reliability through third-party vendors and safeguard company assets. Resolve complex operational issues and handle warehouse accounting and book-keeping. Requires 5+ years of warehouse experience, 3+ years in supervision, and proficiency with MS Office and inventory systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 or more years of experience with warehouse work
- 3 or more years of supervisory or management experience
- Professional certification
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex warehouse operational issues
- Ability to be a team-player and work effectively with senior-level staff
- Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance
- Proficient at MS Office
- Ability to pay attention to detail and be highly organized
- Ability to handle warehouse accounting and book-keeping
- Working knowledge of electronic inventory control system
- Working knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Standing/Walking 75% of the time
- Stand or sit for long periods of time
- Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance
- Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand
