Job Summary
Operations Manager on the Employee Health & Benefits team responsible for the daily operations of the client service group, including recruiting, management, issue escalation, and guidance. Drives professional development and growth of client services professionals; contributes to strategic development of processes and functional collaboration across departments to improve operational excellence, client satisfaction, and efficiencies. Demonstrates leadership, urgency in collaboration, proactive process improvement, and a passion for building high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment. Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years in employee benefits, and licensure in Life/Health insurance; knowledge of HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, MNPFML, Transparency in Coverage; familiarity with HRIS and Payroll systems; ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliverables; strong organizational and analytical skills; willingness to embrace a hybrid work model.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of industry experience in employee health & benefits
- experience consulting, managing, implementing, and renewing small and large group health & welfare plans (medical, dental, ancillary, FSA, HSA, COBRA, voluntary)
- HRIS and Payroll systems knowledge and interaction with benefit offerings
- HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, MNPFML, Transparency in Coverage knowledge
- strong leadership and team-management abilities
- ability to coordinate multiple projects and deliver timely client deliverables
- state Life/Health insurance license required
- desirable: GBDS, CEBS or related designations
