Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of the service center, including yard, fleet, and field activity, while coordinating routing, dispatch, and equipment maintenance. Lead safety compliance efforts, audit procedures to identify risks, and drive measurable improvements in delivery efficiency or on-time performance. Build relationships with drivers and staff to support hiring, onboarding, and coaching conversations. This role splits time between the office, yard, and field, requiring regular outdoor equipment inspections in active service environments. You will partner with the General Manager to enhance safety, customer experience, and operational efficiency across the propane distribution network.
Required Qualifications
- Experience overseeing operations in propane, energy, logistics, or a closely related field
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards, ideally involving hazardous materials
- Demonstrated experience leading a team and improving operational performance
- Ability to manage routing, dispatch, or fleet operations
- Strong communication skills to work across drivers, leadership, and customers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience specifically in propane operations
- Background in route optimization tools or fleet management systems
- Experience supporting sales or customer retention efforts
- Experience conducting safety training or certification programs
- Track record of improving asset utilization or operational efficiency
