Job Summary
Oversee daily hotel operations by approaching all guest and employee encounters with a service-oriented manner and ensuring consistent brand standards. Maintain regular attendance, personal grooming, and compliance with E.M.A. Hospitality regulations, including monthly safe audits and required certifications. Supervise Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, and Housekeeping departments in the absence of general managers, ensuring efficient procedures and empowering staff decisions. Participate in required M.O.D. coverage, lead recruiting and training for Guest Services based on occupancy, and conduct service standard training across all departments. Work in public areas during peak times while managing high-pressure situations and resolving workplace issues. Requires a 4-year degree with 2–3 years of Rooms Division experience, proficiency in Opera PMS and Colleague Advantage, and ability to work flexible schedules.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year college degree and at least 2 to 3 years' experience in Rooms Division
- 2-year college degree and at least 3 to 4 years of experience in the Rooms Division
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- Proficiency in Opera PMS
- Proficiency in Colleague Advantage
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from different sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
