Job Summary
Operations Manager responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound/outbound activities, product slotting, and customer communication. Leads labor scheduling, space utilization, and equipment/manpower deployment; hires and trains staff, assigns daily work, and conducts performance appraisals. Ensures safety, quality, and cost objectives, meets client KPIs, and develops processes to improve efficiency. Oversees warehouse operations, SOP adherence, and utilization of information systems (WMS); coordinates with client representatives and management to drive operational performance. Requires forklift operation, MHE proficiency, WMS and RF scanning skills, and strong leadership, planning, and communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
- 1 year experience in a supervisory role
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
- Able to operate MHE
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- RF Scanners
- WMS functions
