Job Summary
Operations Manager responsible for leading transportation and fleet management in Boston area for DO & CO’s airline catering and event services. Manage and motivate a large team of drivers and driver helpers; oversee dispatch and scheduling of transportation activities; ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, airline, airport, and port regulations; implement process improvements and transportation policies; coordinate with production to maintain DO & CO quality standards; monitor vehicle conditions and maintenance; report and reconcile malfunctions; plan and forecast transportation activities and budget; and support training plans and policy development. Requires a Bachelor's Degree, at least 3 years of leadership experience in transportation (preferably in food manufacturing), strong computer skills, and willingness to work long hours with varied shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership transportation experience preferably within food manufacturing
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
