Job Summary
Utilize the T.E.A.M. System for dock operations and trailer utilization reports to maximize resource capabilities. Prepare production records, measure conformance to service objectives, and inspect personnel proficiencies to improve work practices. Review logs with shift supervisors to ascertain scheduling and administrative support needs while maintaining superior internal and external customer relations. Recruit, screen, and interview prospective employees; inspect facilities for safety, cleanliness, and security compliance. Coordinate line haul schedules with the Line Coordinator and confer with departments to ensure service center activity coordination. Issue directives for expedited freight movement, investigate job-related injuries, and ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA regulations. Assist in training, development, and evaluation of supervisory and production personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the LTL/ Transportation Industry
- Has managed Drivers and Dockworkers
- Knowledge of the surrounding geographical area to the Service Center
