Job Summary
Operations Manager for Surgical Services responsible for operationalizing the strategic plan, overseeing OR/PACU/Endoscopy/Sterile Processing, aligning inpatient/outpatient workflow, monitoring performance metrics, and leading cross-disciplinary teams to optimize patient care and efficiency. Role emphasizes budgeting, resource utilization, compliance with regulatory standards, staff development and succession planning, and driving continuous improvement using Lean/DMAIC methodologies to deliver high-quality, patient-centered surgical services.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Maryland State nursing license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certification in leadership, nursing administration, or perioperative nursing within 1 year of hire
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in surgical services or a department-specific leadership role
- Experience managing multiple units and interdisciplinary teams preferred
- Demonstrated experience in budget oversight, operational management, and quality improvement initiatives
