Job Summary
Lead Service Operations by directing multiple managers and frontline staff across reconditioning, cosmetic, and production functions while maintaining full P&L accountability and labor optimization. Own operational execution through detailed oversight of key performance metrics, production capacity, quality, cycle time, and cost controls to drive continuous improvement. Manage the Environmental, Health and Safety program including self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, and workplace safety compliance. Interpret data records to make independent business decisions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Requires 3+ years of management experience, completion of CarMax training, and ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Internal candidates must complete the Senior Management Development Program before applying.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to interpret and maintain accurate data records
- Completion of CarMax-provided training in Inventory, Cosmetic, and Production processes
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to make independent, critical business decisions
- Proven ability to lead leaders, manage complex operations, and balance competing priorities in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment
- 3+ years of management experience
- Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments with a flexible rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and 12-hour shifts
- Willingness to work at multiple locations or relocate
