Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for providing operational leadership for the facility, ensuring efficient and profitable operations of the elevator and/or terminal. Key responsibilities include managing inventory control, engaging in cost control, maximizing mix & blend opportunities, scheduling and leading preventative maintenance, and leading talent development for operational staff. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, effective communication, and compliance with safety regulations and environmental programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Technical Degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, and/or Safety (preferred)
- 3+ years’ experience in a grain elevator or terminal in a leadership capacity
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in leading an effective safety program
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office skills
- Strong mechanical and maintenance aptitude
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work and interact well with others
