Job Summary
Operations Manager for a pro-oriented lumberyard in Richmond, VA. Oversees store operations, yard activities, and store office staff; directs inside sales, interfaces with General Manager on sales and operational issues; leads staff management including hiring, training, scheduling, and corrective action; focuses on inventory control, policy execution, and driver/contractor relationships while driving sales and meeting performance objectives. Emphasizes effective communication with field and internal departments, ensures safety training and ongoing staff development, and supports company growth with a focus on customer service and cost control. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a building materials environment, as well as sales, management, and operations
- Previous experience dealing with contractors

- Outgoing personality and ability to build relationships with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
