Job Summary
Lead safe operations of the Bio-Rubber Process Research Center pilot plant while managing a process team to meet site goals. Generate production, sample, and trial schedules, execute raw material provisions, and oversee day-to-day activities within the process area. Collaborate with EHSS, maintenance, engineering, and R&D departments to fulfill compliance requirements, coordinate plant shutdowns, and develop new products. Perform advanced process troubleshooting, experiment design, and process development to support scale-up from lab to commercial. Manage process and equipment trials, lead continuous improvement of production methods and team efficiency, and provide input on annual operating budgets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering
- PSM experience: MOC, PSSR, PHA, MI, SOP's, root cause investigations, safety programs
- Basic understanding of process control logic – ladder and function block
- Five years operations management experience in a PSM plant
- Ten years overall experience in a PSM plant
- Must have good engineering technical skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
