Job Summary
Lead Production, Safety, and Materials/Logistics for the Grand Rapids facility while executing manufacturing processes to enhance operational excellence, reduce costs, and improve on-time delivery. Develop an effective Operations team through coaching and mentorship, implementing an organizational structure to support business growth and drive monthly revenue budget targets. Deliver on key performance metrics for quality, productivity, cost, and delivery while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and promoting continuous improvement via lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma. Plan necessary resources including capital equipment and trained employees, and reinforce EHS/Quality policies to reduce workplace injuries. Requires minimum five years of manufacturing leadership experience; full-time role with every other Friday off and comprehensive benefits including 401(k) match and flexible spending accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for growing a customer-focused business
- High School diploma
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, teach, train and motivate others
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth industry; willing to be hands-on and take initiative
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office Suite
- Solid communication skills
- Strong orientation towards customer focus and teamwork
- Minimal travel required
