Job Summary
Manage site operations overseeing plastic, cans, and glass processing while supporting the Safety, Engineering, Logistics, and Quality teams. Develop safety culture by monitoring compliance, reviewing weekly H&S statistics, and ensuring all incidents are reviewed with improvements actioned. Oversee safe facility operations in line with business needs and site permits, including deputising for the Site Manager when required. Monitor performance metrics such as downtime, yields, and safety against targets, identifying shortfalls and opportunities to improve budget achievement. Deal immediately with safety non-conformities, communicating findings to the Safety and Compliance Manager to track risks and trends. Create production reports and collate data for management to aid trend identification and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing operations within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing multi-disciplinary teams
- Sound understanding of health and safety legislation, environmental compliance and ISO standards
- Experience managing budgets, controlling costs and interpreting financial performance data
- Good knowledge of engineering, operational and logistics functions, with a practical approach to problem solving
- IOSH (minimum)
- COTC Level 4
