Job Summary
Oversee daily operations for 50+ drivers, 49+ routes, and 60+ vehicles by managing Transportation Coordinators and Trainers. Serve as the primary contact to school districts to ensure strong collaborative relationships and maintain a safety-first culture. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of key operational metrics while preparing work schedules and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Interview, hire, and train new supervisors; cultivate internal talent pipelines. Partner with fleet maintenance to keep vehicles operational and safe, and review billing and payroll monthly. Ensure all employees hold proper certifications, training, and licensing. Maintain a positive work culture and handle early-morning hours with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in operations management, business administration, or related field
- Progressive work experience in a work environment that is fast paced
- Management of hourly staff
- Proficient experience in the use of Microsoft Office
- Maintain a good driving record
- Must be comfortable with early-morning hours
- Exhibit strong leadership skills
- Can successfully supervise and direct teams
- Effective customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Like solving problems
- Maintain a very high standard of accuracy and confidentiality
