Job Summary
Operations Manager is a field-focused leadership role overseeing daily field operations, safety, and performance across a branch. The role involves hands-on presence in the yard and on job sites, leading Crane Operators, Riggers, and Mechanics, optimizing job execution, and driving a culture of accountability. Responsibilities include field leadership and talent development, scheduling and crew assignments, safety leadership with JHAs and DOT compliance, coordination with sales for project delivery, and utilization of systems such as IFS ERP and Boom Up for planning and reporting. Successful candidates will coach and develop field personnel, maintain strong field presence, ensure safe and efficient job execution, and contribute to branch performance and cost management. The position requires a flexible schedule, after-hours support, and local travel within the region.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of industrial, construction, rigging, or related field operations experience
- Proven ability to lead from the front line in a hands-on, field-based environment
- Experience managing or leading crews, with a strong focus on coaching and development
- Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced, changing operational environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and mentor experienced field teams
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours support as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
