Job Summary
Operations Manager responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations, facilities management, event logistics, and organizational infrastructure for Johns Hopkins Hillel. Works with staff, student leaders, university partners, and community stakeholders to ensure a welcoming, well-functioning space and program support for Shabbat dinners, holidays, retreats, and campus initiatives. Manages calendars, vendor relationships, service contracts, building security, and reporting to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors, while coordinating with professional staff and lay leadership to deliver high-quality programs and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2–3 years of experience in operations, administration, nonprofit management, office management, facilities coordination, or related fields
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with financial processing, budgeting support, accounts payable, and record management
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, students, board members, and community partners
- Strong technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Zoom, Constant Contact, and office management systems
- Flexibility, initiative, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with event setup and breakdown as needed
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel locally to support organizational operations
