Job Summary
Asda Operations Manager to deliver execution across the store and embed routines that improve availability, waste, and shrink; review store processes to set KRAs and drive metrics for Ambient, Fresh, George and General Merchandising; lead and coach managers to build a culture of ownership, empathy, and high standards, while delivering the selling agenda with consistent, heart-driven leadership on the shop floor. Responsibilities include coaching leadership teams, implementing efficient routines, ensuring promotional activity lands on time, and driving data-informed operational improvements to maintain legal and customer-service compliance. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, data-driven decision making, and developing talent to sustain store performance and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing diverse teams in a large-format retail environment
- Strong operational knowledge across food and non-food departments
- Track record of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink
- Ability to develop and lead large teams and manage change
- Experience managing ER cases and understanding HR policies and processes
- Strong organisational skills and customer service excellence
