Job Summary
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures across Culinary, Hospitality, Guest Experience, and Facilities departments to ensure consistent quality. Serve as the primary on-site decision-maker for daily operational issues, making timely judgment calls in a remote environment without immediate outside support. Coordinate cross-functionally with department leads to align daily operations, facilitate problem-solving, and escalate serious safety, medical, or guest incidents promptly to leadership. Monitor lodge functioning to flag risks before they become larger issues while supporting guest arrival readiness. Manage SOP compliance and operational standards across all areas while contributing to a positive team culture in a close-knit, off-grid wilderness setting.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing wilderness destination property
- Demonstrated ability to build or enforce operational standards across multiple departments
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Experience coordinating cross-functionally with department leads without direct line authority
- Comfort and resilience living and working in a remote, off-grid wilderness environment
- Excellent communication, conflict-resolution, and guest service instincts
Desired Qualifications
- Prior safety/emergency response experience
- Proven experience managing wilderness destination property — or similarly isolated settings strongly preferred
