Job Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of a cold storage warehouse, including moving inventory, scheduling employees, and maintaining safety and security programs. Responsibilities include assigning and reviewing work, coordinating with sales, inventory control, and operations support to ensure product availability, driving KPIs around cost, productivity, customer service, and profits, performing long-term labor forecasting from sales inputs, fostering a culture of productivity and accountability, promoting teamwork and empowerment, maintaining regulatory compliance for health, safety and environment, and collaborating with other departments to support the organization’s goals.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years warehouse management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
- Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning
