Job Summary

Manage office operations for Ambulatory Services by coordinating daily workflows for physicians, advanced practice providers, and residents while supervising staff performance and resource allocation. Establish working relationships with hospital leadership and regulatory agencies, prepare data for contracts and accreditation submissions, and oversee credentialing processes. Monitor patient complaints, implement strategies to reduce costs, and track quality improvement metrics to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Prepare and submit QAPI reports, coordinate grant proposals, and process purchase requisitions to maintain inventory levels. Provide administrative support for residency programs and assist physicians with clinical performance presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Associate's Degree
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma
  • Three (3) years of professional, paraprofessional or clerical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Five (5) years of professional, paraprofessional or clerical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Seven (7) years of professional, paraprofessional or clerical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Two (2) years in a supervisory role
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices involved in the administration and supervision of ambulatory healthcare operations
  • Thorough knowledge of electronic medical record systems and related healthcare technologies
  • Good knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations and accreditation standards governing ambulatory healthcare services
  • Working knowledge of residency program requirements and clinical workflows
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
  • Ability to supervise and evaluate staff
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures and training programs
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse constituency
  • Ability to utilize a variety of electronic software applications
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment
  • Degree awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education
  • Independent verification of equivalency for degrees awarded outside the United States and its territories
