Job Summary
Supervise back-of-house operations including Engineering, Housekeeping, F&B, and Front Office to ensure efficient hotel functioning in the absence of the General Manager. Direct the work of at least three full-time associates while maintaining compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and brand regulations. Support revenue generation and cost control efforts by assisting with financial reporting and participating in weekly meetings to address oversell settings. Ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service, daily room inspections, and empowerment of employees to make decisions. Complete required training modules, handle security procedures for the hotel safe, and participate in M.O.D. coverage as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department Hotel
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 to 2 years' experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
