Operations Manager

Job Summary
Direct daily warehouse operations, staffing, scheduling, and the proper utilization of space, equipment, and manpower; develop and implement safety, security, housekeeping and sanitation programs; supervise and coordinate manufacturing operations, production planning, procurement, shipping, and administrative activities to meet customer requirements efficiently; plan long-range labor needs based on forecasts; drive continuous improvement to deliver cost reductions; interact with Facility Management to set goals; lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and ensure on-time, accurate delivery of material and reporting; require strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize warehouse and production processes.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of management experience in warehousing
- Bachelor degree in business discipline or manufacturing preferred
- Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills
- Proven proficiency in a production environment
- Successful track record in leadership and supervising the work of subordinates
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement
- Computer skills - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel (SAP is a plus)
- Prioritization and planning skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Must be team oriented
- Self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
