Job Summary
Operations Manager for a hotel responsible for planning and managing the room and related area operations across F&B, BOH and FOH to achieve guest satisfaction and quality service while meeting financial goals. Responsibilities include short- and long-term planning, managing P&L and budgeting, accounts payable, leading the hotel team (in GM's absence), interviewing and disciplining associates, creating weekly schedules, ensuring training and compliance, maintaining QA standards, overseeing reservations and revenue management, driving a sales-focused culture, maintaining asset protection and brand standards, and communicating across departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Interviews, hires, disciplines, and terminates department associates
- Manage P&L budgeting and cost control
- Supervise department managers and salaried staff
- Create weekly department schedules and monthly/quarterly reports
- Ensure training of all associates and adherence to policies
- Lead in GM absence and maintain guest/associate satisfaction
- Monitor labor productivity and ensure QA audits meet brand standards
- Maintain inventory, processing of reservations, and revenue-management coordination
- Foster a sales-driven culture across hotel departments
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and safety procedures
- Manage guest service and reservation procedures for accuracy and satisfaction
- Provide budget/forecast updates to operational and sales meetings
- Coordinate with departments to ensure top-tier guest experience
- Attend to maintenance and cleanliness standards across F&B/FOH/BOH
