Operations Management Trainee - Camilla Plant

Job Summary
Analyze performance results to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, then recommend and support enhancements in safety, quality, yield, and efficiency. Troubleshoot operational issues, propose solutions, and lead teams or processes as needed for line coverage and projects. Partner with HR, Maintenance, FSQA, and Accounting to monitor compliance, escalate risks, and drive continuous improvement in cost savings and waste reduction. Support planning for staffing, production flow, and resources while building knowledge of equipment and systems. Work the 1st shift with up to three trips per year, utilizing independent judgment and data analysis to identify opportunities and drive improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree, technical degree, or higher in a related field or equivalent practical experience (1 year)
- Basic computer skills (Excel)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Leadership potential and ability to influence others
- Adaptability and willingness to learn
- Understanding of safety and quality standards
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

- Up to 3 trips per year
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Relevant fields: Operations, Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Food Science, or similar
- Exposure to production, agriculture, or manufacturing environments through work, internships, or school projects
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking
- SAP
- Understanding of safety and quality standards (preferred)
