Operations & Maintenance Technician (Philadelphia Metro Area)

Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, troubleshoot site outages, and perform corrective repairs including component replacement and system adjustments. Respond to emergencies and bad weather while utilizing monitoring platforms to review system performance. Document all service visits through electronic logs and support inventory management, receiving, and returning equipment. Foster relationships with internal teams, asset owners, and host facilities by communicating site issues accurately. Adhere to safety culture, log observations, and utilize stop-work authority to identify hazards. Perform field work 90% of the time with some evening, weekend, and on-call periods to address outages and emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience with commercial or utility-scale solar PV systems
- 90% field work with frequent travel to project sites
- Some evening and weekend work is required
- Some periods of being on-call to address outages, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues affecting operating assets
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Frequent physical activity including walking, climbing, bending, and lifting (up to 40 lbs)
- Exposure to construction site environments and hazards
- Valid driver's license
- Sun Tribe O&M is a drug-free workplace, pre-employment drug screening is required

Desired Qualifications
- General understanding of electrical, structural, and construction plans
- Knowledge of electrical equipment construction and operation
- Experience with the National Electric Code (NEC)
- Nextracker and/or ATI certification preferred
- NABCEP Installation Professional and/or Technical Sales Certification preferred
- Strong computer and technical skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
