Job Summary
O&M Technician II: responsible for start/stop and monitoring of equipment, reading gauges/meters and recording activities in logs; perform diagnosis, maintenance, repair of mechanical and electrical equipment; conduct overhaul maintenance, assist in developing procedures and training modules, and support plant safety, reliability and efficiency initiatives. Entry-level O&M Technician I role described as hands-on training path to advance to Technician II within 12 months, gaining experience in plant operations and maintenance through a structured program. Both roles emphasize safety, adherence to environmental regulations, and collaboration with experienced technicians to improve plant performance. Requires strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, use of diagnostic/testing/calibration tools, and basic computer literacy; includes mandatory safety participation and ability to work in a power-generation environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent military experience)
- Five years power plant experience. OR a combination of power plant training and experience. OR five years Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical Trade experience.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving record
