Job Summary
Assist with preparing and applying industrial coatings to protect water utility assets, including valves, pipelines, feeders, and gates, across metals, concrete, wood, and polymers. Perform surface preparation and execute spray, wipe, brush, roll, trowel, or dip applications of specialized coating materials to mitigate corrosion and wear in conveyance facilities, treatment plants, and maintenance shops. Support the core of water and power reliability by maintaining and improving equipment quality within occupied and unoccupied structures while following regulatory and environmental code practices. This role develops foundational expertise in industrial surface preparation and protective coating applications at the Gene Camp (Parker Dam) facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate
- Minimal experience with hand tools and power tools associated with industrial coating applications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent that allows you to drive during your employment
